Sub-1000cc track toys — we absolutely love them. They’re becoming hugely popular at track days and even more so on social media, and it’s easy to see why. We’ve all seen the videos of tiny hatchbacks absolutely flying past much more powerful cars, and you just know the drivers are having ten times the fun compared to those wrestling 400+hp monsters. If you get the chance, check out some of the Club 1000 videos, where cars like this are pushed right to their limits on the Nürburgring. That’s exactly what we love about them — they live on the edge of grip, lap after lap, and happily take hours of relentless abuse.

What we have here is a Skoda Citigo with a cheeky remap producing a whole 90bhp. That might not sound like much, but with a sub-900kg stock weight and the upgrades fitted, it makes for an absolutely hilarious drive on B-roads or tight, twisty circuits. After spending time behind the wheel, it’s clear this is the perfect car for anyone looking to learn new tracks or improve their track driving. It’s incredibly nimble, confidence-inspiring, and easy to control — yet when you push just that little bit too far, it’ll still reward you with some proper opposite-lock fun.

Upgrades on this car include a full Miltek exhaust, H&R stiffer springs, Bilstein dampers, polyurethane bushing, a fully stripped interior with half cage, bride seats and luke harnesses, Yokohama ad08 RS tyres, and a few other thoughtful touches that turn this into an insanely fun track weapon.

Best of all, this is a fully road-legal track car. It’s cheap to tax, cheap in most cases to insure, still returns great MPG, and costs very little to own. What it does deliver is an endless supply of smiles, laughs, and unforgettable track-day memories!
