Truth be told, neither were we.
Is this the wildest machine we’ve ever put on the site? Quite possibly. Do we fully understand it? Not really. That’s exactly why it’s called The Riddler.
The more you look at it, the less sense it makes… and somehow the more you love it.
This outrageous creation is the work of Ray from RAYVERN Hydraulics — legendary builder, all-round good bloke, and apparently someone that when he given complete creative freedom he will take that ball and run with it. The brief was simple: build something for display at VOLKSWORLD 2025 with Heritage Parts Centre. The mission was so top secret that Ray would constantly have the car hidden away under cover with the guys at Heritage not even seeing the car until just before the show!
No rules.
No limits.
Just build something unforgettable.
Mission accomplished.
What emerged is part Beetle, part sculpture, part engineering experiment, and part fever dream. Every angle raises new questions. Every detail leaves you scratching your head. Nothing should work together, yet somehow it all does.
And that’s exactly why we were honoured when Ray approached us with one goal:
Raise as much money as possible for charity.
Every single penny from ticket sales goes directly to Prostate Cancer UK, a cause incredibly close to Ray’s heart and one that means a great deal to us too.
So we’re asking for a favour.

THE SPEC

At its core, it began life as a humble Volkswagen Beetle. From there, things got a little… unconventional.
- 18-inch chopped body for an impossibly low stance
- Full RAYVERN hydraulic suspension system
- Porsche 911 space-saver front wheels
- 1950s Chevrolet truck rear wheels with enormous 14-inch spacers
- Custom bubble canopy because… why not?
- Brake lights and indicators integrated into the canopy surround
- Early Corvette rear bumpers used to make the rear light
- Speedometer mounted inside the headlight housing
- OE 1970s GM Green paintwork
- Custom laser-cut artwork throughout
- Bespoke shortened front axle
- Hidden exhaust routing exiting where absolutely nobody expects it
- Retro TV screen and camera setup
- Unique seating position and custom chain steering wheel
Every panel opens differently.
Every feature raises another question.
Every detail seems designed purely to confuse people.
And honestly, that’s what makes it brilliant.
