We heard a little rumour that the MK2 Focus ST was pretty good… so we had to get one in and give it a go! The facelifted version definitely brings a more aggressive front-end design, with subtle hints of the Focus RS. And in this bright blue, paired with matching blue RECARO bucket seats, it’s a proper fast Ford colour that really pops—complete with nods to the classics hidden within.
Under the bonnet, you’ll find a 5-cylinder turbo engine that Ford sourced from a brand we’re very passionate about… Volvo. A Ford with a Volvo heart—one that beats out pure symphonies to the ears. There’s something about a 5-pot howl that’s almost addictive, paired with a smooth power band that lets you enjoy the drive without feeling like you’re about to be flung into a tree.
What we really like about this one is that it’s completely stock. No obnoxious pops and bangs—you know the type.
