About This Competition
It turns out our followers really do love a good Rover. And as you all know, we like to listen. So here we have Rover’s flagship model: the 1993 800 Vitesse.
A lovely, classy motorcar. The sort of thing designed for the more mature driver to enjoy on weekends and special occasions. Refined. Comfortable. Understated.
But… and it’s a big but — this is EP-COMPS.
Because hiding beneath that Nightfire Red paintwork is a forged, 300hp T-Series-powered monster, with the potential for even more power should the winner decide to make things even more unhinged. The dump valve noise is addictive, the boost lag is immense, and it genuinely transports you straight back to the big-turbo cars of the 90s. And let’s be honest — nobody expects a Rover 800 to be making those dirty, dirty sounds as it flies past.
Inside, it’s all very Rover. Comfortable, refined, and exactly as it should be, complete with wood trim and RECARO sport seats. The only real giveaways that this is no ordinary Vitesse are the AFR gauge where the clock should be, the boost gauge on the dash, and the small GREDDY boost controller tucked neatly by the passenger’s knee. Day to day, it drives just like a standard Rover… right up until you put your foot down.
So, the bit you’ve all been waiting for — the spec list.

And the best part?
It could be coming home with you for just £1.49!
