With most engine swapped cars, you can immediately tell something is not quite as it should be. But with this, it feels as if Vauxhall should have made a V6 model! So what started life as quite a well spec’d MK3 Astra CD has now become quite the monster which, in all honesty, drives like a pretty standard old astra!

Weighing in at around 1000kg, the mighty 170hp from the 2.5 Calibra V6 makes this a very lively car on the roads. It pulls well in every gear thanks to a good wack of low down torque. it really is an enjoyable car to drive that could be used everyday, What’s not to love in that!

The colour of this is truly sensational. At some point in its life it was painted a nice dark grey that turns gold when sunlight hits it. We would have love to have shown this in the pictures, but England provided us with overcast on the photo day! The 16 inch ‘turbo’ wheels and 60mm drop this car gives off some real 90s vibes and begs to be parked up at a Southend car meet…. who knows, we may even take it to one!
